Jenaro Martínez
Was born in Monterrey in 1973 and spent his entire childhood in the nearby state of Coahuila surrounded by books, music, videogames, computers, dinosaur fossils and Spielberg movies. After a year studying abroad, he moved back to Monterrey and graduated as a Computer Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has a 25+ years’ experience in high-tech industries, telecomm and media, focusing on innovation, tech evolution, digital transformation, marketing and product development. He currently works as Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships for Axel and is also an entrepreneur and tech-based startup co-founder. He launched Estoy Bien, an automated self-monitoring service for older adults living alone, and Editorial 42, a publishing startup helping new talents publish their first books. Invasión silenciosa is his first novel and the first part of an ambitious scifi saga, which combines paleontology, space aliens and astrophysics. Besides all this, he’s a voracius reader and film lover, a husband to Adriana, and father to María and Jenaro, and the family also owns three dogs and three cats, two of whom are credited as co-authors of Invasión silenciosa.
