Lourdes Pallais
Lourdes is a journalist with a passion for literature. She was born in Lima of a Nicaraguan father and Peruvian mother and has lived in Peru, New York and Mexico, where she currently resides. The has a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Columbia University and earned honor with a thesis on Isidore Ducasse’s Les chants de Maldoror and Virginia Woolf’s The Waves.
Her works include the novel La carta. In 2006, she won the Rafaela Contreras Award for Novel Written by a Woman, with Prisionera. Her short stories and poems have been published in literary publications in Mexico and Nicaragua.
