Jorge Tijerina

Jorge Tijerina is the current Director of Fiction Content Development for Warner Bros. Discovery Mexico and Colombia. Since 2021, he has overseen the development of more than 60 fiction series at this company.
With 25 years of experience and a master’s degree in Film and Television Production from the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California (USC), Jorge leads the series creation chain by identifying new fiction projects in the market. He spearheads their development and collaborates in the production, post-production, and marketing of them.
His notable productions include Capadocia (nominated for 3 International Emmy Awards), Sr. Ávila (winner of the International Emmy Award for Best Series), Los enviados (created by Juan José Campanella and starring Luis Gerardo Méndez and Miguel Ángel Silvestre), Like Water for Chocolate (adapted from the book by Laura Esquivel), and Chespirito: Sin querer queriendo (based on the life of the great Mexican comedian).
As a television writer, his works include I Have to Die Every Night (adapted from the book by Guillermo Osorno).
My Dream Life (or Nothing) is his first novel.
