A professional communicator with a background in Journalism, she started her career at 17. She was the Editorial Coordinator for Origina Magazine and Director at Vulcano Publishers. She has led over 900 “Charlas con Café”, a web-based series of interviews with a wide variety of authors. Through her “Descubriéndote” radio talk show, she interviewed over 100 national and international personalities. As an author, she has published the novel Helena, the poetry collection Lóbame, and Fabulosas – a collection of interviews with 25 women who tell their resilience and success stories. She created the literary community Tres y Contando with fellow authors Sofía Segovia and Sophie Goldberg, providing a spotlight for several social issues through literature.

Born in Mexico City in 1962, he is back in his hometown after a 28-year long cycle through Miami, Washington, D.C., Brussels, Madrid, and Chicago working in journalism, communications, and PR. He was the editorial director of contratiempo, the most important and influential Spanish-language cultural magazine in the U.S. He was also a member of the organizing committee of Lit&Luz, an organization creating cultural exchanges between Mexico City and Chicago writers, and a co-founder and organizer, along with DePaul University, Instituto Cervantes, and Poetry Foundation. He is the author of seven titles of two poetry collections, three books of short stories and a play, all of which have received national and international awards. He has published numerous articles, poems and short stories in print and electronic media outlets in Mexico, the United States, Spain, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba.
