Luis Alejandro Ordóñez

Luis Alejandro Ordóñez es venezis Venezuelan and American. He has lived in the USA since 2008 and writes fiction and non-fiction, narrative and poetry, chronicles, and reviews. In 2024, he served as the editor for the flash fiction anthology Los mecanismos del instante (The Mechanisms of the Instant). A year earlier, he published the novel Aquí no encontrarás a Weeping Sally (You Won’t Find Weeping Sally Here) and edited another flash fiction anthology, Con la urgencia del instante (With the Urgency of the Instant); all three books were published by Ars Communis. In 2021, he published the short novel Si me muero, abre estos archivos (If I Die, Open These Files) with Suburbano publishers.

Also with Suburbano, he published El último New York Times (The Last New York Times) in 2018,
and its English version, The Last New York Times, with Katakana Editores in 2020. In 2015, he published the short story collection Play with Ars Communis. He has participated in two anthologies with Ars Communis, Trasfondos (Backgrounds) and Pertenencia (Belonging), and was included in the anthology Enviado especial (Special Correspondent) by Suburbano. His work is also featured in the anthologies Diáspora (Diaspora) by Vaso Roto and Escritorxs Salvajes (Wild Writers) by Hypermedia Editores.

He has collaborated with or been published in various websites, magazines, and newspapers such
as Latin American Literature Today, Desmadres, Factchequeado, Suburbano, Nagari, South Side
Weekly, Univision, Internacional Microcuentista, Letralia, La Comunidad Inconfesable,
contratiempo, El beisman, Proyecto Scherezade, El Nacional, Revista Producto, and MiamiDiario,
among others. Between 2021 and 2022, he participated as a mentor in the Writers Mentorship
Program of Latinx in Publishing.
