Alexandra Castrillón
Alexandra was born in Colombia in 1978. She is a systems engineer, a traveler and writer. After many successful years in technology, in 2019 she self-published Me muero por vivir, which was picked for the 2020 Bogotá International Book Festival and earned the Isabel Allende Award to the Most Inspiration Fiction Book by the 2021 Latino Book Awards. She also self published the novels Detrás de mi nombre and Entre redes and the short fiction collection Una sola línea, also available as audiobook in several podcast platforms.
In 2021, she was selected for the Latinx in Publishing’s Writers Mentorship Program, being mentored by Venezuelan writer Luis Alejandro Ordóñez. She is a member of FILCOL and Ambassadors Directors for the Hispanic Heritage Literature Organization.
She has toured the world twice and has lived in Colombia, Spain and the United States. She currently lives in Mexico City. Her books are available in 15 countries through print on demand platforms.
