Javier Martínez Staines

Javier Martínez Staines (Mexico City, 1966) is the founder and CEO of ThinkTank New Media, a
content strategy and development company established in 2015. During his extensive career in
the publishing industry, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Expansión magazine, Editorial Director of
Grupo Expansión, and General Editorial Director of Televisa Publishing for Mexico and Latin
America. He studied Communication at the Universidad Iberoamericana and completed the Senior
Management program at IPADE, as well as the FIPP Publishing Course in London and Glasgow. In
2005, he was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

He has worked as a radio analyst, panelist, speaker, and columnist for various publications,
including Expansión, Poder, Esquire Latin America, and SoHo Mexico. He has published two books:
Zoo Inc: Visita guiada por la jungla corporativa (Zoo Inc: A Guided Tour of the Corporate Jungle),
published by Ed. Planeta; and the novel Por mi gran culpa (Through My Great Fault), published by
Penguin Random House. His second novel, Tempestad (Tempest), is set to be published very
shortly. He is the father of two children, a devoted lover of cooking, travel, music, and literature,
and is currently studying Philosophy and coordinating the Tertulia Literaria book club.
