Karla was born in Monterrey, Mexico in 1994. She has a B.A. in Marketing from CEDIM University. She is also a black belt in Karate Shito Ryu, the founder of a community of readers and writers known as “Café con autores” and the host Inspirarte, a professional development podcast.

And avid reader since age 10, she has participated in countless workshops and courses. She was also a café barista with a passion for preparing the perfect cup of coffee – and that’s how she found her first true love, another woman. Her book El amor tiene sabor a café tells the story of seven couples (hetero, gay and lesbian) who fall in love or out of love in a café. These are real stories, real places, and real love.
