Minerva Del Risco

Born in 1961 in Puerto Rico where her parents were exiled fleeing from the Trujillo dictatorship in the Dominican Republic. She studied Marketing at the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University. She is a cultural promoter and frequent contributor to newspapers across the Americas. She currently sits on the editorial board of the Dominican Republic’s cultural magazine Plenamar. Her publications include Virutas de miel, El envés de mil voces and Te llamé tantas veces. She is also the president of the René del Risco Bermúdez Foundation, a cultural organization focused on strenghtening education through literature.
