Ramón Valdés

Born in Mexico City, 1976. He’s the founder and director of Contrastes, a creative agency and has always been passionate about writing. He’s the author of four novels plus a number of short stories, poems and articles published in newspapers and magazines. He’s worked as a radio announcer and commentator on TV shows. As a writer, he has published the Flor Negra fantasy saga, which is based on Mayan mythology. He won the 2018 International Award for Tomorrow’s Writers, issued by Mexico’s Institute of Fine Arts, the Mexican Association of Writers and the Mexican Association of Publishers. Flor Negra has been translated into English and is in the process of being transformed into a feature directed by Daniel Gruener.
