Zakarías Zafra
Zakarías Zafra (Venezuela, 1987). is a writer and editor. He has contributed tos uch publications as the Spanish edition of The Washington Post, Harper’s Bazaar, Letras Libres, La Revista de la Universidad (UNAM), and Papel Literario, and featured in Latin American Literature Today (USA) and Buenos Aires Poetry (Argentina). He was one of 34 young authors chosen for Nuevo país literario, an anthology published by Venezuela’s Fondo Editorial Banesco.
He earned an M.A. in Latin American Literature from UNAM and has completed diplomas for Journalism and non-fiction. He has worked as culture promoter for both public and private organizations and coordinated reading platform across Latin America, while also editing books in literature, arts and commercial non-fiction. He currently lives in Mexico City. His most recent publication is the short story collection Turbio (Sudaquia Editores, 2023).
